Cut out Animation 

so far we have chosen to do a mini project of cut out animation and we have chosen to use a member of our group called karl hill and we are using his face on a Teletubbie. we also are using a background that he looks a destroyed city.

Final Cut out Idea for Cut out animation we have finally decided to a teletubbie idea on where karl the teletubbie will dance and then after dancing for a bit he then fall apart in london and then disappear into thin air.  I think this will work well cause we have everything we need to do the cut out animation we just need to record it next lesson.

Cutout animation is a technique for producing animations using flat characters, props and backgrounds cut from materials such as paper, card, stiff fabric or even photographs. The world's earliest known animated feature films were cutout animations (made in Argentina by Quirino Cristiani); as is the world's earliest surviving animated feature. The modern Day Animation is a cutout Style Animation which in now used by computers, they used scanned images or vector Graphics this takes the place of physically cut materials.








The notable Examples of Cut out Animation are Angela Anaconda and the most Recent Ones are Charlie and Lola, which is one the most famous animation that is still used today.

Ideas for Cutout animation

In Groups we had to come up with an idea for cut out animation and my group came up with the idea of the teletubbies that are like dancing around the screen all we have to do for the cutout animation is print off separate arms and legs and a body and the head so that they can move around all on there own.

Model Based Animation

Our Class exercise was that we had to create our very own Model Based Animation At first i had a good idea which was a recreation of the character of Gumpy But i didn't actually have any video ideas,So I Decided that i Create another Model Based Animation which was a cat dying which was very bad but the video quality Was Quite Good :D

So created a new video for animation below

Model Based animation is another form of animation which is designed to merge with live action and create an illusion of a real world Fantasy, Some Pioneers were Willis O'Brien who created animation like 

King kong (1933)

The Son of Kong (1933)

And The Giant Behemoth (1958)

Cel based Animation

Cel based animation is traditional animation that is produced by hand which turns into cartoons or animated where frame is moved one by one.  Ful Length cartoons and films are produced from these hand drawn cel based animation which requires a million or more drawings than there actually is.

Modern Day Animation

Matt Groening created the simpsons and futurama, it is animated which consisted of short animated clips in the 1990s that Matt Groening then he was approached by people do the series for fox and now to these days he does stuff like futurama, but how he created is he used drawings and then he used all of the drawing in a series to create them.












Maxwell atoms created the grim adventures of billy and mandy but is often referred as billy and mandy which then appeared on cartoon network it was originally aimed at older kids but then aimed at younger kids cause it too childish for older people.  Billy And Mandy was created using computer drawing and is still running on the TV and is aimed at young kids.

Beavis and Butt-head is another tv series but this time it was originally aimed at young kids but like matt groening he was approached by some people and then instead of using it for young kids and then went to for older kids,  the person who created beavis & butt-head mike judge, the series originally from frog baseball and this kind of program is drawings and ran into the computer.

Seth macfarlane is well know for creating family guy, south park and American dad this program consisted of a family being very dysfunctional and then it really became a hugh with older kids the style of animation is really cell based
